George Bush doesn't care about Latino people
"President Bush has again ignored highly qualified Latino judges, attorneys and law professors who could serve the nation ably on the United States Supreme Court," said Ann Marie Tallman, executive director of the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, after Miers' nomination was announced Monday.Well guess what, suckas?
"The failure of this administration to nominate a Hispanic judge to the Supreme Court is a slap in the face to all those highly qualified Hispanic judges that dutifully serve on our federal courts across the nation," said Raul Yzaguirre, former president of the National Council of La Raza. "Our community continues to contribute to the greatness of this nation and yet, we are ignored for a vital role on our third branch of governance." - source, The Associated Press [Hispanics Upset Bush Passed on Candidate]
The Mexican sister-in-law, hollow campaign promises, butchered speeches made in pedestrian Spanish, the application of puckered lips to the Cuban collective in Miami and the polish of the JFK, Jr. pedigree of eye candy offspring (George P. Bush) trotted out as part of the "aren't we inclusive?" dog & pony show had you thinking the gates to the promised land were as open as our borders, huh? All were brilliant diversion tactics to blind you from the realness that was smack dab in your faces. The GOP pulled those strings like a puppet. For all of the courting Republicans have done to successfully sway the Latino vote in vital states like Texas and Florida, when push came to shove...guess who got left out in the cold? Don't get mad, get educated on what really counts. The damn issues!

No offense to any Latinos but I don't really care about them either.
They have the whole country getting Spanish as an option, isn't that enough?

*ushering Mealone into the Blogsphere Poster Protection Program* They ain't ready for that brand of gully. Consiga que va!
SAY THAT, Butta! I don't know why folks are acting brand new....but then again, they let the myth of being the acceptable shade of brown leave them wide open for the truth to boomerang their asses with the cold truth. Georgie Porgie could scarf down all the tamales he wants, he ain't bending over backwards to upset his status quo.

Ha @ hispanics crossing out the word black like half of them aren't black themselves. Anyhoo, I agree with you completely, Trini. As ign't as this may sound, blacks have been waiting forever for their fair share. The latino/hispanic community needs to get in line. Besides, who's to say simply selecting a brown face to serve on the bench would do their community any good? I'd trade Uncle Clarence for a white person with a soul anyday.
