Just Another Girl On The IRT

Freestyle musings from a pseudo-intellectual hellcat in high heels with Huxtable aspirations in a ghetto fab world. Proudly sponsored by bouts of bitchy mood swings, one too many swigs of Turning Leaf, the letters F & U and the madness that is the Rotten Apple.

Goodbye Coppertone, hello cashmere

What's not to love about autumn in New York? And no, I'm certainly not referring to that god awful Richard Gere/Winona Ryder cinematic rehash of Love Story. The air is refreshingly crisp, sunsets over the Manhattan skyline is breathtaking, breezes have the bite of Old Man Winter lurking around the bend, foliage takes on a luminous glow as the leaves are shaded into rustic hues of browns, golds and terracotta, pashminas get a reprieve from storage space and the allure of knee high boots are rediscovered. New music releases from old favorites to give a much needed shot in the arm to hardly used CD player. The return of pumpkin spice frappuccinos. Businessmen back to looking extra sharp in overcoats and formal attire. Catalogs rolling out the must-haves to make staying warm oh-so-stylish. Baseball in October. So much to look forward to, so much to do.
